Harleston Town Football Club is a football club based in Harleston, Norfolk, England. They are currently members of the and play at Wilderness Lane. History The club was established in 1885. They became members of the top division of the East Anglian League in 1952. In 1963–64 the club won the league's Knockout Cup, beating Norman Old Boys in the final. At the end of the season the league merged with the Norfolk & Suffolk League to form the Anglian Combination, with Harleston placed in Section A. However, they were subsequently relegated several divisions. In 1980–81 Harleston were Division Three champions. They went on to win Division Two the following season, earning promotion to Division One. Following two relegations, in 2005–06 the club finished bottom of Division Three and were relegated to Division Four. Danny Crow
Daniel Stephen Crow (born 26 January 1986) is a retired English footballer who is currently manager of Harleston Town. Career Crow made his senior debut as a substitute for Norwich City in a Premier League match against Middlesbrough on 28 December 2004. He was loaned to Northampton Town towards the end of the 2004–05 season, where he scored two goals in ten games, and released by Norwich that summer. He signed for League Two side Peterborough United at the start of the 2005–06 season, becoming the club's top goalscorer with 17 goals. The next season was less successful, with Crow scoring 10 goals in 42 games. During the campaign, Crow featured on the Sky One documentary " Big Ron Manager", and was criticised for his poor attitude and for being overweight. The East Anglian League was a football league in the East Anglia region of England. History The league was established in 1903 as the South East Anglian League. Anglian Combination
The Anglian Combination (known as the Hadley & Ottaway Anglian Combination under the terms of a sponsorship deal) is an English football league that operates in the East Anglia area. The league specifically covers Norfolk and northern Suffolk with rules stating that clubs should be within a 50 miles radius from the centre of Norwich. It consists of 104 teams and has seven divisions – the Premier Division, Division One to Four plus the two regionalised divisions, Division Five North and South.
