Haris Sohail
Haris Sohail ( Punjabi/; born 9 January 1989) is a Pakistani cricketer born in a Gujjar family of Sialkot, Pakistan. He is a left-handed batsman who bowls left-arm orthodox. He has represented Sialkot Stallions, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited cricket team, Sialkot cricket team and Peshawar Zalmi. He currently plays for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League. He made his international debut for the Pakistan cricket team in July 2013. In August 2018, he was one of thirty-three players to be awarded a central contract for the 2018–19 season by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Biography In 2012, Haris was selected in the Pakistan squad for their Twenty20 International (T20I) series in Sri Lanka. He was called up to the Pakistan Test side for their 2013 tour to South Africa. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for Pakistan on 19 July 2013. The Sri Lanka cricket team toured the United Arab Emirates in September and October 2017 to play two Tests, five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against the Pakistan cricket team. A One Day International (ODI) is a form of limited overs cricket, played between two teams with international status, in which each team faces a fixed number of overs, currently 50, with the game lasting up to 9 hours. The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league contested during February and March of every year by six teams representing six cities of Pakistan. The league was founded on 9 September 2015 with five teams by the Pakistan Cricket Board. Instead of operating as an association of independently-owned teams, the league is a single entity in which each franchise is owned and controlled by investors. Each team plays the group stage matches in a double round robin format; the top four teams with the most points qualify for the playoffs, culminating in the final.
