Hareskovbanen
Hareskovbanen (English: ''the Hareskov line'') is one of six radial S-train (Copenhagen), S-train lines in Copenhagen. It connects the city center to a number of northwestern suburbs and the cities of Værløse and Farum, with the terminus placed in the latter. History The line was opened in 1906 as part of the private ''København-Slangerup Jernbane'' which went to Slangerup, about two thirds from Farum to Frederikssund. Its terminus in Copenhagen was Lygten Station, København L, close to present day Nørrebro station on the S-train Ringbanen, ring line - the station building of this station still stands. This was quite a bit from the city center, but the station was supposed to be temporary until the exact routing of the various new railways near Copenhagen that were in planning around the turn of the century had been finalized. Copenhagen S-train
The Copenhagen S-train (), the S-train of Copenhagen, Denmark, is a key part of public transport in the city. It is a hybrid urban rail, urban-suburban rail serving most of the Copenhagen urban area, and is analogous to the S-Bahn systems of Berlin S-Bahn, Berlin, Vienna S-Bahn, Vienna and Hamburg S-Bahn, Hamburg. The trains connect the Copenhagen inner city with Hillerød, Klampenborg, Frederikssund, Farum, Høje-Taastrup and Køge. Ringbanen
Ringbanen () is an S-train line in Copenhagen. Its route is roughly semicircular, running around the central part of Copenhagen and connecting the S-train radials about 5 km out. History The ring line started as a freight bypass railway. In 1900 Copenhagen had a central station situated just inside ''Skt Jørgens Sø'', from which railways went towards Roskilde (via ) and (via ''Nørrebro'', not the current station but where ''Nørrebroparken'' is now). A connecting line directly from Nørrebro to Frederiksberg was used by transiting freight, in order to relieve the central station which had been pushing its capacity limit for decades. Apart from capacity problem, the lines through Frederiksberg and Nørrebro had many level crossings, to the increasing irritation of motorists as their number and the number and trains both grew. Vangede is a suburb 8 km north of central Copenhagen, Denmark. This area is primarily made up of one and two family houses and two and three story apartment buildings. Nørrebro
Nørrebro (, ) is one of the 10 official districts of Copenhagen Municipality, Denmark. It is northwest of the city centre, beyond the location of the old Northern Gate (''Nørreport''), which, until dismantled in 1856, was near the current Nørreport station. Svanemøllen
Svanemøllen (Swan Mill) is a wooden smock mill located just west of Svaneke on the Danish island of Bornholm. Built in 1857, it remained in service until the 1950s. Slangerup
Slangerup is a town in Frederikssund Municipality, about 30 km north-west of central Copenhagen, in the Capital Region of Denmark. The town of Slangerup The town was established by the Viking Slangir at the time of Harald Bluetooth. King Eric I of Denmark (ca. 1070-July 1103), was born in Slangerup.
