Hareidlandet
Hareidlandet is an island in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island is divided between Hareid Municipality and Ulstein Municipality. The island has a population of 13,683 (as of 2022). The island is home to one town, Ulsteinvik, and several larger villages: Eiksund, Haddal, Hasund, Brandal, Hareid, and Hjørungavåg. The island is connected to the mainland to the south via the Eiksund Bridge to the island of Eika which in turn is connected to the mainland through the Eiksund Tunnel. On the west side, the island has bridge connections to the islands of Dimnøya and Gurskøya. On the east side, there is a ferry connection to the island of Sula. Name The Old Norse name of the island was feminine ''Höð'' (modern ''har-'' from the Old Norse genitive ''haðar''). The etymology of the name is unknown; a suggested meaning of "lake" is speculative, the connection with ''höð'', "battle", is spurious. Ulstein Municipality

The administrative centre is the Hareid (village), village of Hareid. The other main population centers are Brandal and Hjørungavåg. Eika is an island in the southern part of Ulstein Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is connected to the village of Eiksund on the island of Hareidlandet by the Eiksund Bridge. Eiksund
Eiksund is a village in Ulstein Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located on the southern tip of the island of Hareidlandet. The small island of Eika lies just off the shore from Eiksund. The village is located about southeast of the village of Haddal and about southeast of the town of Ulsteinvik. History Since 1838, Eiksund was administratively a part of Sande Municipality, despite being separated from the rest of Sande by the sea (see formannskapsdistrikt law). On 1 January 1889, the Eiksund area and the island of Eika (population: 119) were transferred to Herøy Municipality. Then on 1 January 1964, Eiksund and Eika (population: 222) were transferred to Ulstein Municipality. Eiksund Tunnel
The Eiksund tunnel () is an undersea tunnel in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway, which runs under the Vartdalsfjorden connecting the municipalities of Ørsta and Ulstein. The tunnel is long and reaches a depth of below sea level, and was the deepest undersea tunnel in the world until Norway's Rogaland county opened its deep Ryfast tunnel system in December 2019. Gurskøya is an island in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. Settlements The island is shared by Sande Municipality and Herøy Municipality. The villages of Haugsbygda, Gjerdsvika, Larsnes, Leikong and Moldtustranda are located on the island. The southern part of the island was historically part of the old Rovde Municipality. is a town in Ulstein Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The town is the commercial and administrative centre of the municipality and as such, Ulsteinvik contains 74% of the municipal population.
