"Hardlight" is a song by Australian indie rock band Spacey Jane, released on 18 May 2022 as the fifth single to their second studio album, ''Here Comes Everybody'' (2022). Premiered on BBC Radio 1, it peaked at number 68 on the ARIA Singles chart and number 37 on the NZ Hot Singles chart. The song was considered a favourite to top Triple J's Hottest 100 of 2022, on which it was polled into third place. "Hardlight" won Best Single at the 2023 Rolling Stone Australia Awards. In 2024, the song was certified gold by the Australian Recording Industry Association for selling 35,000 units. Spacey Jane are an Australian indie rock band from Fremantle, which formed in 2016. The group consists of Ashton Hardman-Le Cornu (guitar), Caleb Harper (vocals, guitar), Kieran Lama (drums) and, since 2019, Peppa Lane (bass guitar). Their debut studio album, ''Sunlight'', was released in 2020 and peaked at number two on the ARIA Charts. It was preceded by triple platinum single "Booster Seat", which peaked at number eight and won the ARIA Song of the Year. Paramore
Paramore is an American rock band from Franklin, Tennessee, formed in 2004. The band currently consists of lead vocalist Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York and drummer Zac Farro. Williams and Farro are founding members of the group, while York, a high school friend of the original lineup, joined in 2007. The band is signed to Fueled by Ramen, a subsidiary of Atlantic Records, both owned by Warner Music Group. Williams was separately signed to Atlantic as she was scouted when she was a teenager, and they were the only label to let her stay in the band instead of going solo, but Atlantic said the rest of the band had to sign to Fueled by Ramen.
