Hardcore Lives
''Hardcore Lives'' is the eighth studio album by New York hardcore band Madball. It was released on June 27, 2014. This was the last album to feature guitarist Brian "Mitts" Daniels before his departure. Background and history On March 10, 2014, it was announced that Madball had entered the studio to begin recording their upcoming eighth studio album, which was scheduled for a mid-summer release. The band announced they were recording tracks with Ken Susi at System Recordings in Grafton, Massachusetts, and that additional recording would take place at Pinecrust Studios in Miami, Florida, with Jonathan Nuñez. Also, the album would be mixed by Zeuss, who previously worked with the band on their 2005 album ''Legacy'' and their 2007 album '' Infiltrate the System''. On April 11, it was announced that the title of the upcoming album was ''Hardcore Lives'', and that it would be released on June 27, 2014. Madball
Madball is an American New York hardcore band. Originated in the late 1980s as a side project of Agnostic Front, the band developed after Agnostic Front's vocalist Roger Miret would let his younger half-brother Freddy Cricien take the microphone and perform lead vocals during Agnostic Front shows. Following Agnostic Front's 1992 disbandment, Madball became the members' main project and many became a part of the band who were never in Agnostic Front. They have released nine studio albums and four EPs. History Madball was founded in 1988 and featured most of Agnostic Front's members. Madball consisted of Agnostic Front's vocalist Roger Miret on bass, Vinnie Stigma on guitar, Will Shepler on drums, and then 12-year-old vocalist Freddy Cricien, Miret's younger half-brother. New York hardcore (also known as NYHC) is both the hardcore punk music created in New York City and the subculture and lifestyle (sociology), lifestyle associated with that music. Freddy Cricien (born November 4, 1975), also known as Freddy Madball, is an American vocalist, primarily known as the lead singer of the New York hardcore band Madball. He is also the lead singer of Hazen Street and has a hip hop career from which debut album was November 2009's ''Catholic Guilt''. He also moonlights as an MC with DJ Stress as the hip hop duo Freddy Madball & DJ Stress. Biography Early life Cricien was born in Passaic, New Jersey on November 4, 1975. Scott Vogel
Scott Vogel is an American vocalist. He is the lead singer and founding member of hardcore punk band Terror and Buffalo hardcore bands Buried Alive and Bad Blood. He has been the vocalist of various other projects including Slugfest, Despair and World Be Free. Career In the early 1990s, Vogel played in the band Slugfest; in the mid 1990s in the band Despair; and in the late 1990s in the band Buried Alive. Walls of Jericho is an American metalcore band from Detroit, formed in 1998. History Candace Kucsulain, Apathemy's singer from 1996 to 1998, joined the band when it was founded. In April 1999 the band released their first EP, ''Underestimated'', which was followed by a second EP, ''A Day and a Thousand Years'', containing ''Underestimated'' and demo tracks, released on Florida-based ''Eulogy Recordings'' and later by European imprint Genet Records.
