Hard Tide
''Hard Tide'' is a 2015 British crime drama written and directed by Robert Osman and Nathanael Wiseman. It stars Wiseman as a small-time drug dealer who takes care of an orphaned girl, played by Alexandra Newick, after her father dies in an accident. It premiered at the Raindance Film Festival in September 2015 and was released in April 2016. Plot After Jake's father is arrested and goes to jail, Jake inherits his drug business. Although Jake is reluctant to get involved, his friend and roommate Alfie ambitiously plans to expand their empire. While walking home after a drug deal, Jake finds Jade, a young girl, playing alone on a roof. After coaxing her down and making her promise to avoid further trouble, he leaves. Nathanael Wiseman
Nathanael Wiseman is an actor, film director and producer, and entrepreneur. He is a co-founder and CEO of production company Redeeming Features, which produced the BAFTA long-listed feature film ''Hard Tide'' in the UK. Redeeming Features and its sister companies (including Redeem) have produced various ad campaigns, music videos and promos for artists such as Ellie Golding, Stormzy, Jake Bugg and Louis Tomlinson. Career While completing a three-year BA in acting at the East 15 Acting School, Wiseman was allowed to leave slightly early in order to appear in a revival of the Christopher Marlowe play, ''Tamburlaine the Great'', staged at the original site of The Rose theatre, located on the South Bank. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review-aggregation website for film and television. The company was launched in August 1998 by three undergraduate students at the University of California, Berkeley: Senh Duong, Patrick Y. Lee, and Stephen Wang.
