Hard Rock Treasures
''Hard Rock Treasures'' is a documentary film about Don "The Indiana Jones of Rock 'n' Roll" Bernstine from Hard Rock Cafe, when he visits musicians to try to get memorabilia from them. Some of the memorabilia he gets includes Freddie Mercury's stage pants, the Gibson guitar Tony Iommi used on the first four Black Sabbath albums, the car James Hetfield drives in the video for Metallica's song "I Disappear", Slipknot's stage masks, the bass guitar Michael Anthony used on the recording of Van Halen's ''1984'' album and a drum Ian Paice used on the recording for Deep Purple's '' Perfect Strangers'' album. The scenes with Dimebag Darrell at his home was shot just months before he was murdered on stage, playing with Damageplan. Slipknot ( ) is an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995 by percussionist Shawn Crahan, former vocalist Anders Colsefni and bassist Paul Gray (American musician), Paul Gray. Peter Criss
George Peter John Criscuola (born December 20, 1945), better known by his stage name Peter Criss, is an American musician, best known as a co-founder, original drummer, and an occasional vocalist of the hard rock band Kiss. Criss established the Catman character for his Kiss persona. In 2014, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Kiss. Early years Criss was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Loretta and Joseph Criscuola, who raised their five children (of whom Peter was the eldest) as Roman Catholics. Joseph Criscuola's family came from Scafati, Salerno, Italy. Criss grew up in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn and was a childhood friend of Jerry Nolan, who would later find success as the drummer of the New York Dolls. The Yardbirds are an English rock music, rock band formed in London in 1963. Sam Roy Hagar (born October 13, 1947), also known as the Red Rocker, is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He rose to prominence in the early 1970s with the hard rock band Montrose before launching a successful solo career, scoring a hit in 1984 with " I Can't Drive 55". Damageplan
Damageplan was an American heavy metal band from Dallas, Texas, formed in 2003. Following the demise of their previous group Pantera, brothers Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul Abbott wanted to start a new band. The pair recruited former Halford guitarist Patrick Lachman on vocals, and later Bob Zilla on bass. Damageplan released '' New Found Power'', their only album, in February 2004. ''New Found Power'' debuted at number 38 on the ''Billboard'' 200, selling 44,676 copies in its first week. While Damageplan was promoting the album at a concert on December 8, 2004 at the Alrosa Villa nightclub in Columbus, Ohio, deranged fan Nathan Gale climbed on stage and killed guitarist Dimebag Darrell and three others before being fatally shot by a police officer. ''Perfect Strangers'' is the eleventh studio album by English rock band Deep Purple, released on 29 October 1984. It was the most successful album recorded by the re-formed 'Mark II' line-up. Ian Anderson Paice (born 29 June 1948) is an English musician who is the drummer and last remaining original member of the rock band Deep Purple. He remains the only member of Deep Purple who has served in every line-up since the band's inception in 1968, as well as having played on every album and at every live appearance. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Deep Purple in 2016.
