Harald Simon
Harald Simon (born 14 March 1967 in Austria) is an Austrian ice speedway rider. Career Simon was part of the Austrian team that won 6 silver medals and 5 bronze medals in the Team Ice Racing World Championship from 1998 to 2020. In 2022, he became the European champion at the age of 55. In 2023, He won the bronze medal behind Martin Haarahiltunen and Franz Zorn in the 2023 Individual Ice Racing World Championship. 2011 Individual Ice Racing World Championship
The 2011 FIM Individual Ice Racing World Championship will be the 2011 version of FIM Individual Ice Racing World Championship season. The world champion will be determined in eight finals hosted in four cities between 5 February and 27 March 2011. Qualification In three Qualifying Rounds will started 48 riders from 13 nationan federation and to Final series will qualify top 5 from each meetings and 6th placed riders from QR1 and QR2. The FIM Ice Speedway of Nations, formerly known as the Ice Speedway Team World Championship, is an international ice speedway competition, first held in Kalinin (Tver), USSR, in 1979. The 2022 FIM Ice Speedway World Championship was the 56th edition of the FIM Individual Ice Racing World Championship season. Martin Haarahiltunen of Sweden won the World Championship series to become world champion for the first time and the first Swedish rider to win individual gold in twenty years. The 2021 FIM Ice Speedway World Championship was the 56th edition of the FIM Individual Ice Racing World Championship season. Due to the continuing issues regarding the COVID-19 pandemic it was decided to hold a two-day final at the Anatoly Stepanov Stadium in Tolyatti, Russia, on 13 and 14 February 2021. Dinar Valeev of Russia won the World Championship series to become world champion for the first time. Valeev defeated Igor Kononov in a race off after both riders finished on 36 points. Russian athletes competed as neutral competitors using the designation MFR (Motorcycle Federation of Russia), as the Court of Arbitration for Sport upheld a ban on Russia competing at World Championships.
