Harald De Vlaming
Harald de Vlaming (28 June 1954 – 23 January 2023) was a sailor from the Netherlands, who represented his native country at the 1976 Summer Olympics Kingston, Ontario, Canada. With helmsman Geert Bakker and fellow crew member Pieter Keijzer De Vlaming took the 5th place in the Soling. De Vlaming later specialized as crew in the Dragon, racing together with Ab Ekels Albert Sybrandus "Ab" Ekels (born 5 December 1950, in Hilversum) is a sailor from the Netherlands, who represented his country at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Kingston, Canada. With helmsman Ben Staartjes Ekels took the 8th place in the Tempest ... and helmsman Pieter Keijzer. Harald was retired from a career in the banking industry. Baarn () is a municipality and a town in the Netherlands, near Hilversum in the province of Utrecht. Geert Bakker
Geert Alle Bakker (15 January 1921 in Appingedam – 7 August 1993 in Warmond) was a sailor from the Netherlands, who represented his country at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. With crew Pieter Keijzer and Harald de Vlaming Bakker took the 5th place in the Soling. Since in 1980 The Netherlands did boycott the Moscow Olympic Games Bakker again in the Soling represented his National Olympic Committee under the Dutch NOC flag. This time with crew Dick Coster and his son Steven Bakker They took again 5th place. From 1976 till 1979 Geert was president of the International Soling Association. After a brain stroke in 1983 he stayed close involved with Soling Sailing however he specialized in judging. Pieter Keijzer (born 10 April 1949 in Amsterdam) is a sailor from the Netherlands, who represented his country at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Kingston, Canada. With helmsman Geert Bakker and fellow crew member Harald de Vlaming Keijzer took the 5th place in the Soling. Pieter later specialized as helmsman in the Dragon, racing together with Ab Ekels and Harald de Vlaming. Kingston is a city in Ontario, Canada. Obergurgl
Obergurgl is a village in the Ötztal Alps in Tyrol, Austria. Located in the municipality of Sölden, the village has approximately 400 year-round inhabitants, and is mainly a tourist resort. At an elevation of , Obergurgl is the highest parish in Austria. The parish church was consecrated in 1737, and in 1967 extensions were added based on plans by Clemens Holzmeister. Obergurgl forms part of the ski resort area of Obergurgl-Hochgurgl and lies at the southern end of the Ötztal Gurglertal valley, the longest side valley off the Inntal valley. It is a popular hiking area during the summer, with hanging valleys to the east that lead over into the Italian province of South Tyrol.
