Mahbub Ul Haq
Mahbub ul-Haq (; ) was a Pakistani economist, international development theorist, and politician who served as the minister of Finance from 10 April 1985 to 28 January 1986, and again from June to December 1988 as a caretaker. Regarded as one of the greatest economists of his time, Haq devised the Human Development Index, widely used to gauge the development of nations. After graduating with a degree in economics from the Government College University in Lahore, he won a scholarship to the University of Cambridge in England, where he obtained a second higher degree in the same field. Waheedul Haq (; March 16, 1933 – January 27, 2007) was a journalist, writer, and musicologist of Tagore songs. Early life Haq was born on March 16, 1933, at Bhawal Monoharia village under Keraniganj Upazila. His father, Mazharul Haq, was a member of Bengal legislative assembly in 1946. His mother was Mewa Begum. Waheedul was the eldest of three brothers and two sisters. His brother Rezaul Haq is a journalist and another brother Ziaul Haq was a martyr in 1971. Baitul Mukarram
Baitul Mukarram (), officially Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, is the national mosque of Bangladesh. It is located at the center of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Khatib
In Islam, a khatib or khateeb ( ''khaṭīb'') is a person who delivers the sermon (''khuṭbah'') (literally "narration"), during the Friday prayer and Eid prayers. The ''khateeb'' is usually the prayer leader (''imam''), but the two roles can be played by different people. The khatib should be knowledgeable of how to lead the prayer and be competent in delivering the speech (''khutba'') however there are no requirements of eligibility to become a khatib beyond being an Adult Muslim. Ubaidul Haq (; 2 May 1928 – 6 October 2007), also spelt Obaidul Haq (), was a Bangladeshi teacher, muhaddith, mufassir and writer. He was the former khatib of the national mosque of Bangladesh. Early life and education Obaidul Haq was born on 2 May 1928 into a traditional Bengali Muslim family in Barothakuri, Zakiganj, Sylhet District. Sami ul Haq (, ''Samī'u’l-Ḥaq''; 18 December 1937 – 2 November 2018) was a Pakistani religious scholar and senator. He was known as the ''Father of Taliban'' for the role his seminary Darul Uloom Haqqania played in the graduation of most Taliban leaders and commanders, having close ties to Taliban leader Mullah Omar. Qazi Imdadul Haq
Qazi Imdadul Haq (1882–1926) was a Bengali writer. Teaching Haq joined the Calcutta Madrasa (now Aliah University) as a temporary teacher in 1904. In 1906, he worked briefly in the Education Department in Shillong, Assam. The next year he joined the Dhaka Madrasa as a teacher. In 1911, he became a professor of geography at the Dhaka Teachers' Training College, in 1914, Assistant School Inspector of Muslim Education for the Dhaka Division, and headmaster of the Calcutta Training School in 1917. In 1921, he became superintendent of the newly founded Dhaka Education Board and continued there until his death. Syed Nomanul Haq (Nu'man al-Haqq) (; born February 15, 1948 in Karachi, Pakistan) is a Pakistani scholar and historian specialised in the fields of Islamic history and Islamic philosophy.
