Toroidal Inductors And Transformers
Toroidal inductors and transformers are inductors and transformers which use magnetic cores with a toroidal (ring or donut) shape. They are passivity (engineering), passive electronic components, consisting of a circular ring or donut shaped magnetic core of ferromagnetic material such as laminated core, laminated iron, iron powder, or Ferrite (magnet), ferrite, around which wire is wound. Although closed-core inductors and transformers often use cores with a rectangular shape, the use of toroidal-shaped cores sometimes provides superior electrical performance. The advantage of the toroidal shape is that, due to its symmetry, the amount of magnetic flux that escapes outside the core (leakage flux) can be made low, potentially making it more efficient and making it emit less electromagnetic interference (EMI). Toroidal inductors and transformers are used in a wide range of electronic circuits: power supply, power supplies, inverters, and amplifiers, which in turn are used in ... Ben Linus
Benjamin Linus is a fictional character portrayed by Michael Emerson on the ABC television series '' Lost''. Ben was the leader of a group of Island natives called the Others and was initially known as Henry Gale to the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. He began as the main antagonist during the second and third seasons, but in subsequent seasons, becomes a morally ambiguous ally to the main characters. Other characters frequently describe him as loyal only to himself, though it is also often hinted that he may be driven by some higher purpose. As with most characters on ''Lost'', Ben's history is revealed through flashbacks and episodes set in other time periods which are revealed slowly as the series progresses. Showrunner
A showrunner is the top-level executive producer of a television series. The position outranks other creative and management personnel, including episode directors, in contrast to feature films, in which the director has creative control over the production, and the executive producer's role is limited to investing. In scripted comedy and drama TV shows, the showrunner also usually serves as the head writer (or its most prolific writer). The role of a showrunner is not present on all television series, especially outside the United States; this article describes the nature of the role where it is present. United States Writer Alex Epstein, in his book and blog ''Crafty Screenwriting'', defines a showrunner as "the person responsible for all creative aspects of the show and responsible only to the network (and production company, if it's not heirproduction company). The boss. Usually a writer. Traditionally, the executive producer of a television program was the ''chief executive ...
