Haora River
The Haora River is one of the major rivers of the West Tripura District of the Indian state Tripura, located between latitudes 23°37′N and 23°53′N, and longitudinally between 91°15′E and 91°37′E. It is also known by the name Saidra (in Kokborok language) by the indigenous people of the state. It is one of the ten major rivers flowing in the State of Tripura, the others being: River Longai, Juri, Deo, Manu, Dhalai, Khowai, Bijoy, Gumati, Muhuri and Feny. Course The river originates from the western flank of Baramura Hill range, flows south-westwardly and joins the Titas river in Bangladesh. Birendra Kishore Manikya
Birendra Kishore Manikya Debbarma Bahadur ascended the throne of the Kingdom of Tripura on 25 November 1909, at the age of 26. Administrative reforms Birendra Kishore's contribution to the state lay in his administrative reforms, welfare activities and consistent attempt to spread education. He divided the state into ten administrative units on the model of subdivisions and introduced the system of civil service examinations for recruiting competent youths in the administration in 1909. The post of chief secretary was created in 1909. He reconstituted the State Civil Service in 1909 for recruitment of high officials of the state including the post of Police Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent of Police. Titas River
The Titas ( ''Titāsa''; also Romanized Titash) is a river in Bangladesh which merges into the Meghna river and forms part of the Surma-Meghna River System. Titas starts its journey from Sarail Upazila, Brahmanbaria. The river is long and again meets the Meghna river near Nabinagar Upazila, Brahmanbaria. Bangladesh's first Y-shaped bridge is over this river connecting Comilla and Brahmanbaria. Boromura
Baramura, officially Hathai Kotor, also known as Boromura, is a hill range centrally located in the state of Tripura in India. Baramura is also known for its great hornbill birds and holds Hornbill Festivals. The 8 National Highway (Assam-Agartala road) crosses through the Baramura hill range. Khowai River
The Khowai is a trans-boundary river that originates in the eastern part of the Atharamura Hills of Tripura in India and . Geography Flowing north-north-west, it leaves India at Khowai, and enters Bangladesh at Balla in Habiganj District.
