Listerlandet
Listerlandet is a peninsula in Sölvesborg Municipality, Blekinge County, Sweden. Its main settlement is Mjällby. History Listerlandet was originally in practice an island, surrounded by the Baltic Sea to the south, west and east, and in north the sound known as VesanLijegren-Bjørkman and the Pukavik channel. The sound was deep enough for navigation until the 18th century. After this, the vegetation took over. The project to drain the area, to enable farming to take over the land began in the 1860s and continued until the 1870s, when the sea took over the land. The project was then abandoned for the remainder of the 19th century. Remains of people have been found in Listerlandet (e.g. in Sandviken and Siretorp) dating back to the Stone Age and Bronze Age. Stenshuvud
Stenshuvud is a hill in the southeastern corner of Sweden, in the province of Scania, close to Kivik in Simrishamn Municipality. Since 1986, it is one of the National parks of Sweden. The park covers an area of about . The hill is high and faces the Baltic Sea. Since the surrounding landscape is relatively flat, it can be seen from a great distance and has traditionally been used as a landmark for seafarers. Many visitors trek up the hill to enjoy the view which is very good in clear weather. The Stenshuvud National Park is traversed by a section of the Skåneleden Trail, between Simrishamn and Kivik. The trail ascends Stenshuvud, offering a diverse range of landscapes and views. Most of the area is covered with broadleaf forest, especially European hornbeam. Hanö
Hanö is an island off Listerlandet peninsula, western Blekinge, Sweden. From 1810 to 1812, during the Napoleonic Wars the Royal Navy of the United Kingdom used the island as its base during its operations in the Baltic Sea. Yngsjö
Yngsjö is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality situated in Kristianstad Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 302 inhabitants in 2010. Yngsjö is located on the coast of the Baltic Sea and is famous for its beaches. Yngsjö is also known for the manufacturer Malmberg and for the Yngsjö murder that took place in 1889 and resulted in the last execution of a woman in Sweden. The place also has a small sports club: Yngsjö Idrottsföring (YIF). Nearby is the (very) small lake Yngsjösjön and the bird watching point.
