Current race The Henry Ford Health 200 is a annual ARCA Menards Series race held at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan. The inaugural event was held on July 20, 1980 and was won by Joe Ruttman. The series has raced at least once annually at the track since 1990. History ARCA ran its first race at Michigan International Speedway in 1980, when two races were held. The series would not return for nearly a decade, when it was added back to the calendar in 1990, where it has remained ever since. The race has been run between June and August since its inception. The ARCA Menards Series is an American stock car racing, stock car series, the premier division of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). It is considered a minor, semi-professional league of stock car racing, used as a feeder series into the three national touring series of NASCAR, and hosts events at a variety of track types including superspeedways, Road racing, road courses, and Dirt track racing, dirt tracks. It also provides hobby drivers a chance to experience racing at large tracks used in the three national touring series in NASCAR. The 1999 ARCA Bondo/Mar-Hyde Series was the 47th season of the ARCA Racing Series, a division of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). The season began on February 7, 1999, with the FirstPlus Financial 200 at Daytona International Speedway. The season ended with the Georgia Boot 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on November 20. Frank Kimmel
Francis James Kimmel (born April 30, 1962) is an American former stock car racing driver. He competed primarily in the ARCA Racing Series, from 1990 through 2016. Kimmel is the most successful driver in ARCA history. He has won the ARCA championship ten times, including eight consecutive. He won the championship in 1998 and also won the 2000 through 2007 championships, and again in 2013. Kimmel also has won more races in the ARCA Series with 80 victories. Kimmel is currently the crew chief for Jason Kitzmiller and CR7 Motorsports, which fields the No. 97 Chevrolet in the ARCA Series. Tim Steele (March 1, 1968 – January 7, 2024) was an American stock car racing driver. He won three ARCA Re/Max Series national championships and raced in NASCAR's highest three series. He was inducted in the Michigan Motor Sports Hall of Fame in 2009. Background Steele was born in Coopersville, Michigan on March 1, 1968, and began racing as a 5-year-old in motorcycle ice racing. He finished second in Michigan's 125cc AMA motocross division. In 1984, the 16-year-old won the NAMRA Champ Cars division championship and was the division's Rookie of the Year; he also raced in International Jet Ski Racing events that season. He continued to move up the ladder and began racing late models at Berlin Raceway. Phoenix Racing is a motorsports team that currently competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series East fielding the No. 1 Toyota Camry and various Super Late Model events fielding the No. 51 Chevrolet SS for Jake Finch.
