Formosa Television
Formosa Television () is a television station based in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Established on March 27, 1996, FTV began broadcasting on June 11, 1997 as the first free-to-air television station established without direct relationship to a political party or the Taiwanese government. On May 24, 2004, FTV was among the first free-to-air channels in Taiwan to switch from terrestrial analog signal to digital television. The International Magicians Society (IMS) is a magic society created by Tony Hassini to "help promote and preserve the art of magic and provide a format where magicians could share their secrets and ideas." The society gives its own "Merlin Award" to magicians on a regular basis, though this award is recognized in the wider community, its authenticity has been questioned, and critics allege that the award can increase publicity. Lu "Louis" Chen ( zh, c=劉謙, p=Liú Qiān, w=Liu Ch'ien, poj=Lâu Khiam; born June 25, 1976) is a Taiwanese magician and is credited to be the only Taiwanese magician to perform in Hollywood's Magic Castle, commonly referred to as China's most renowned magician. Taiwan Television Enterprise, Ltd.
