Hansen Narinesingh
Hansen Narinesingh is a Trinidad and Tobago politician from the United National Congress (UNC). He has been MP for Claxton Bay in the House of Representatives since 2025. Career Narinesingh is an attorney. He was elected in the 2025 Trinidad and Tobago general election. He was appointed Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Tertiary Education and Skills Training by Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar. David Lee is a Trinidad and Tobago politician from the United National Congress (UNC). He is a member of the House of Representatives. Career Lee holds a doctorate degree in engineering. He was elected MP for Pointe-à-Pierre in the 2015 general election and re-elected in 2020. In Parliament he was opposition Chief Whip. In 2022, he was arrested and charged with fraud, conspiracy and misbehaviour. The charges were in connection with the purchase of a $2.3 million Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 and whether the tax exemptions derived from the sale may have benefited a party financier. In April 2025, the trial collapsed. He claimed political persecution and thanked his party leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar for her support. United National Congress
The United National Congress ( UNC or UNCTT) is one of two major political parties in Trinidad and Tobago. The UNC is a Centre-left politics, centre-left party. It was founded in 1989 by Basdeo Panday, a Trinidadian lawyer, economist, trade unionist, and actor after a split in the ruling National Alliance for Reconstruction (NAR). After spending six years in opposition, the UNC won control of the government in 1995, initially in coalition with the NAR and later on its own. In the 2000 Trinidad and Tobago general election, 2000 general election, the UNC won an absolute majority in the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago, Parliament. General elections were held in Trinidad and Tobago on 28 April 2025 to elect all 41 members of the House of Representatives. President Christine Kangaloo, on the advice of Prime Minister Stuart Young, dissolved parliament and issued the writs for election on 18 March 2025.
