Hansell Arauz Ovares (born 9 August 1989) is a Costa Rican football midfielder. Club career Born in Golfito, Puntarenas, Arauz was raised in Guápiles, Limón by his mother. He began playing football in the local league and signed with C.S. Cartaginés in 2012. Cartaginés In January 2012, he signed a new contract with C.S. Cartaginés. On 15 January 2012, Arauz made his official debut for Cartaginés in the opening match in the Summer 2012 playing 74 minutes in the victory 1-3 over San Carlos. On 22 January 2012, Arauz played in the debut official match of Cartaginés for the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica and substituted by José Sánchez at 56 minutes in the team's victory against tri-champion Alajuelense in the "Clasico Provincial". Golfito (canton)
Golfito is a canton in the Puntarenas province of Costa Rica. The head city is in Golfito district. History Golfito was created on 10 June 1949 by decree 532. Geography Golfito has an area of km² and a mean elevation of metres. The canton encompasses the southernmost Pacific coast of Costa Rica, north from Punta Gorda Hill at the Panama border. The Primera División of Costa Rica, commonly known as Liga de Fútbol de Primera División (Liga FPD), and Liga Promerica for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional association football division in Costa Rica. It is administered by the Unión de Clubes de Fútbol de la Primera División (UNAFUT). The 2011–12 Primera División season is the 93rd of Costa Rica's top-flight professional football league. The season was divided into two championships: the Invierno and the Verano. The season began on 31 July 2011. Promotion and relegation Universidad de Costa Rica finished last season in last place in the overall table at the end of last season and were relegated to the Segunda División. Replacing them in the league for this season are the overall champions of last season's Segunda División competition, Belén Siglo XXI. Barrio México were expelled from last year's competition during the 2011 Verano tournament and were eventually relegated from the league due to various financial difficulties. The CONCACAF Champions Cup, formerly known as CONCACAF Champions League (2008–2023), is an international association football competition organized by CONCACAF as its top continental tournament for clubs from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
