Hans Somers
Hans Somers (born 9 March 1978) is a Belgian professional association football, footballer and coach. Playing career Somers started his professional career with Lierse S.K. (1906), Lierse, where he played for five seasons, and was a regular in three of those seasons. A midfielder, his strengths were in the passing game. During his time at FC Utrecht, Utrecht, he became renowned for his long throw-in. After his stint at Lierse, Somers left for Turkey where he started playing for Trabzonspor. There too, he became an established starter in midfield. After three seasons with Trabzonspor, Somers moved to the Dutch Eredivisie in 2004 where he played for Utrecht. One of his most memorable moments at the club came in the 2004 Johan Cruyff Shield against Ajax; his official debut for the club. Football Club Utrecht () is a Dutch professional association football, football club based in Utrecht. Belgian Super Cup
The Belgian Super Cup ( ; ; ), ''Pro League Supercup'', is a Belgian club competition played as a single match between the Belgian Pro League champions (also received the Super Cup host) and the Belgian Cup winners. If both teams are the same, the Belgian Cup runners-up participates as the second club. The most successful Super Cup club is Club Brugge with 17 titles, followed by Anderlecht (13), Standard Liège (4), Genk (2), Beveren (2) and Lierse (2). Johan Cruyff Shield
The Johan Cruyff Shield (, ) is a football trophy in the Netherlands named after Dutch footballer Johan Cruyff, also often referred to as the Dutch Super Cup. The winner is decided in one match only, played by the winner of the national football league, Eredivisie, and the winner of the national KNVB Cup. In the event of a team winning both the Eredivisie and the KNVB Cup, the Johan Cruyff Shield will be contested between that team and the runner up in the national league.
