Hans Josephsohn
Hans Josephsohn (May 1920 – 20 August 2012) was a Swiss sculptor. Biography Josephsohn was born in Königsberg (today's Kaliningrad), East Prussia. Here he attended elementary school and completed high school in 1937. That same year, he left his homeland and moved to Florence with a small scholarship, in order to study art. Due to his Jewish ancestry, he had to leave Italy a short time later and fled to Switzerland. He arrived in Zürich in 1938 and became a student of the sculptor Otto Müller. In 1943 Josephsohn moved into his first atelier, and starting in 1964 began showing his works in various solo shows within Switzerland. He acquired Swiss citizenship in 1964. Josephsohn's works began to attract the attention of a larger audience at the end of the 1990s. The Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam dedicated a large solo exhibition to the artist in 2002. Galerie Max Hetzler is a gallery for contemporary art with locations in Berlin, Paris and London. History The Galerie Max Hetzler was founded in Stuttgart in 1974. In 1981, the gallery presented the first exhibitions of Martin Kippenberger and Albert Oehlen. In 1983 the gallery moved to Cologne, the centre of the contemporary art scene in Germany at the time, and pursued a programme with some of the most significant German and American artists from the 80's. From 1989 until 1992, Max Hetzler partnered with Luhring Augustine Gallery on establishing Luhring Augustine Hetzler in Los Angeles. ArtZuid
ARTZUID is an international sculpture biennale held in Amsterdam-Zuid, Netherlands, particularly along Apollolaan, Minervalaan, Churchillaan, and surrounding areas of Amsterdam-Zuid. Established in 2008, the exhibition showcases large-scale contemporary sculptures and installations in public spaces, integrating them with the urban design of Hendrik Petrus Berlage’s 1917 Plan Zuid. Laurent Godin
Laurent Godin (born 1965) is a French curator, author, and contemporary art gallery owner of Galerie Laurent Godin. Life and Career Godin graduated from the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Lyon in 1990 and subsequently worked for several years alongside gallerist Roger Pailhas, first in Marseille and then in Paris. In 1993, he collaborated with Pontus Hulten to oversee the sculpture park "Future lies ahead" for Taejon Expo'93 in South Korea.
