Hans Isaac
Gerald Hans Isaac (born 20 August 1971) is a Malaysian actor, producer, and director. On 10 April 2019, he was appointed as the Chairman of the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS), and resigned after a year. In December 2021, Hans announced he was retiring from acting after more than two decades. Personal life Hans Isaac was born on 20 August 1971 in the Sultanah Aminah General Hospital in Johor Bahru to a Filipino mother, Carmina Anciano Isaac, and Indian- Kristang father, Edward Anthony Gerald Isaac from Malacca, a naval officer. The Isaac family lived in Johore for eight years before transferring to the KD ''Sri Rejang'' base in Sibu, Sarawak. They eventually settled in Kuala Lumpur when Hans was around eight to nine years old. His father had been appointed as an aide for the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong at the National Palace in Jalan Istana, and was there until his retirement. The Malay language has a complex system of Style (manner of address), styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Singapore. Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, few provinces in the Philippines and several provinces in Indonesia regularly award honorary and life titles. What follows in this article is specific to the Malaysian system. References to Brunei and Indonesia are given when pertinent. Astro Ria is a 24-hour Southeast Asian Malay language television channel exclusive to the Astro satellite television provider. It was one of the first 22 channels to be launched on Astro in 1996. Astro Ria offered mainly dramas & reality shows but also offered little informational content. It's HD counterpart was launched on 29 May 2015. ''Note'' also known as ''NOTA'' ( English: Note) is a 2015 Malaysian Malay-language psychological thriller film written and directed by Yasu Tanaka. This was also his directorial debut in Malay film. The film was produced by his wife Bea Tanaka under the production company 42nd Pictures. The film stars Hans Isaac in the male lead role, Maya Karin in the female lead role, while Ramli Hassan and Rin Izumi play supportive roles. The music for the film is scored by Christopher Higgs and editing is handled by Yashiko Tanaka.
