Hans Bund
Hans Bund, also Jack Bund, (15 August 1898 – 1 February 1982) was a German pianist, conductor, composer and arranger in the field of light music. Life Born in Neunkirchen (Saarland), Bund received his first piano lessons from his father, who was a music teacher in Saarbrücken. He then studied piano and organ at the with Elly Ney and at the Hoch Conservatory in Frankfurt. Later he went to Berlin, continued his education at the Berlin University of the Arts in piano, organ, counterpoint, musical composition and conducting with Ernst von Dohnányi, among others, and graduated with distinction in 1919. on AllMusic In the early 1930s, he founded the "Hans Bund Jazz Orchestra", which he led as pianist and for which he wrote the arrangements in the Berlin cabaret . Rudi Schuricke
Rudi Schuricke (born Erhard Rudolf Hans Schuricke; 16 March 1913, Brandenburg an der Havel – 28 December 1973) was a popular German singer and actor. In the 1930s he was Second Tenor with the Kardosch Singers, a popular vocal ensemble of the time. When the group dissolved in 1935, Schuricke joined the Spree Revellers and later proceeded to found his own vocal group, the Schuricke Terzett. He also appeared as a solo singer with many popular orchestras of the 1930s and 1940s. His 1949 recording of "Capri-Fischer" was a "smash hit" in Germany. Even as late as the mid-1950s, he was still a successful musical artist. In 1954 alone, his song "Moulin Rouge" was the 74th most purchased single on the German year-end chart and another of his songs "Das Märchen unserer Liebe" appeared on the German Top50 chart. Hans Hinrich
Hans Hinrich (27 November 1903 – 20 October 1974) was a German film director and actor. He initially worked in Germany but later also worked in Italy where he was usually credited as ''Giovanni Hinrich''. Hinrich was a noted theatre director, before moving into film directing in 1932. Hinrich was of Jewish heritage but he converted to Roman Catholicism, Catholicism. While he was initially granted permission to continue working following the Nazi takeover of Germany, he found it increasingly difficult and moved to Italy following the production of ''Freight from Baltimore'' (1938). During the Fascist era he made several films such as the historical ''Lucrezia Borgia (1940 film), Lucrezia Borgia'' (1940). The is a German broadcast orchestra of the ' (WDR, West German Broadcasting) in Cologne. The orchestra gives its concerts in such venues as the Kölner Philharmonie and in the Funkhaus Wallrafplatz. History Groups from which the orchestra was formed date back to 1927. In its present form, the orchestra was founded in 1947, with Hermann Hagestedt as its first chief conductor. Odeon Records is a record label founded in 1903 by Max Straus and Heinrich Zuntz of the International Talking Machine Company in Berlin, Germany. The label's name and logo come from the Odéon-Théâtre de l'Europe in Paris. History Straus and Zuntz bought the company from Carl Lindström that he had founded in 1897. They transformed the Lindström enterprise into a public company, the Carl Lindström A.G. and in 1903 purchased Fonotipia Records, including their Odeon-Werke International Talking Machine Company. International Talking Machine Company issued the Odeon label first in Germany in 1903 and applied for a U.S. trademark the same year.
