Austria
Austria, formally the Republic of Austria, is a landlocked country in Central Europe, lying in the Eastern Alps. Hannes van Asseldonk (born 10 January 1992) is a retired Dutch racing driver, who most recently competed in the Formula 3 Euro Series for Fortec Motorsport. Career Karting and junior formulae Born in Boekel, Netherlands as the only son of five children to Peter and Dianne van Asseldonk, Hannes van Asseldonk tested a kart for the first time towards the end of the 2006 season, before electing to compete in Junior Rotax Max in 2007. A sabaton or solleret is part of a knight's body armour, body armor that covers the foot. History Sabatons from the 14th and 15th centuries typically end in a tapered point well past the actual toes of the wearer's foot, following poulaines, fashionable shoe shapes of the era. Sabatons of the late 15th and 1500–1550 in European fashion, early 16th century followed the duckbill shoes of the time, ending at the tip of the toe but often extending greatly wider. The sabatons were the first piece of armour to be put on, and were made of riveted iron plates called ''Lame (armor), lames''. These plates generally covered only the top of the foot. Some sources maintain that the broad-toed variant is the true sabaton, whereas the earlier versions should be referred to as a solleret. Hannes Van Dahl (born Karl-Hannes Dahl, 18 January 1990) is a Swedish musician, best known as the drummer of the power metal band Sabaton (band), Sabaton. Biography Dahl changed his name to "Hannes Van Dahl" as an adult. His interest in rock and metal music came from the skateboarding scene and a big inspiration was his cousin who played in a local band and his mother playing records to him from young age. At the age of 10 he started playing the bass guitar, but quickly lost interest and moved on to the drums. His first band was called "The Motherfuckers". Later, Van Dahl started the band Downthrust and ended this engagement to join Evergrey in 2009 while replacing Jonas Ekdahl. Johannes Daniel "Hannes" Brewis (15 June 1920 – 9 September 2007) was a South African rugby union player. He was capped for South Africa ten times, and was selected to play for the Springboks on the 1951–52 South Africa rugby tour of Great Britain, Ireland and France; playing in all five international games of that tour. The touring team of 1951/52 is seen as one of the greatest South African teams, winning 30 of the 31 matches, including all five internationals. Brewis represented Northern Transvaal at regional level and is recognised as one of the great South African rugby players of the 1940s and early 1950s. Personal history Brewis was born in Oudtshoorn, South Africa in 1920. He was educated at Oudtshoorn Boys' High and Langenhoven Commercial before moving to Pretoria. Wayne Francis Woodard ( ; July 2, 1914 – April 11, 1964), known by the pseudonym Hannes Bok, was an American artist and illustrator, as well as an amateur astrologer and writer of fantasy fiction and poetry. He painted nearly 150 covers for various science fiction, fantasy, and detective fiction magazines, as well as contributing hundreds of black and white interior illustrations. Bok's work graced the pages of calendars and early fanzines, as well as dust jackets from specialty book publishers like Arkham House, Llewellyn, Shasta Publishers, and Fantasy Press. His paintings achieved a luminous quality through the use of an arduous glazing process, which was learned from his mentor, Maxfield Parrish. Bok shared one of the inaugural 1953 Hugo Awards for science fiction achievement (best Cover Artist). Hannes De Boer
Hannes de Boer (2 December 1899 – 2 April 1982) was a Dutch long jumper. He took part in the Olympic Games of 1924 and 1928. He finished in sixth place in 1928, jumping a distance of 6.32m. Biography De Boer was born in Hollum, on the West Frisian island of Ameland. He won six Dutch national titles in the long jump and set six Dutch records. The longest jump, 7.37m reached in 1928, would only be broken in 1951. De Boer was also a member of the Dutch 4 x 100 metres relay team that set a national record in 1926. This record was broken in 1934 by a relay team that included Chris Berger and Tinus Osendarp. He won the British AAA Championships title in the long jump event at the 1928 AAA Championships and the 1931 AAA Championships.
