Hannelore Mensch (born Hannelore Bosch; 16 June 1937 in Neu Zachun) is a former East German politician. She served as the German Democratic Republic's Minister for Work and Wages in 1989/90. Life Hannelore Bosch was born in the north of what was then the central part of Germany. Her father was a farmer and she had a rural upbringing. The Second World War started when she was 2 and ended when she was not quite 8, after which her childhood was spent growing up in the Soviet occupation zone in what remained of Germany. While she was 12 the occupation zone became the German Democratic Republic, formally founded in October 1949. Hannelore Kraft (née Külzhammer, 12 June 1961) is a German politician. She served as the Minister-President of North Rhine-Westphalia from 2010 until 2017. Kraft was the first woman to serve as head of government of this state and was the third woman to become head of a state government in Germany. Johanna Klara Eleonore "Hannelore" Kohl ( Renner; 7 March 1933 – 5 July 2001) was the first wife of German Chancellor Helmut Kohl. She met him for the first time at a school party in Ludwigshafen, Allied-occupied Germany in 1948, when she was 15 years old, and they became engaged in 1953. Hannelore Emilie Käte Grete Schroth (; 10 January 1922 – 7 July 1987) was a German film, stage, and television actress whose career spanned over five decades. Hannelore Bode (born 2 August 1941) is a German operatic soprano. She performed at the Bayreuth Festival from 1968 to 1978, including Elsa in ''Lohengrin'', Eva in ''Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg'', and several parts in the 1976 Jahrhundertring, including Sieglinde in ''Die Walküre''.
