Hannara
The Liberty Korea Party () was a conservative political party in South Korea that was described variously as right-wing, right-wing populist, or far-right. Until February 2017, it was known as the Saenuri Party (), and before that as the Hannara Party (; also called Grand National Party; GNP) from 1997 to 2012, both of which are still colloquially used to refer to the party. The party formerly held a plurality of seats in the 20th Assembly before its ruling status was transferred to the Democratic Party of Korea on 27 December 2016, following the creation of the splinter Bareun Party by former Saenuri members who distanced themselves from President Park Geun-hye in the 2016 South Korean political scandal. Advancement Unification Party
Advancement Unification Party (AUP; ), formerly known as Liberty Forward Party, was a conservative political party in South Korea. This party was created by Lee Hoi Chang, the presidential candidate who lost 2007 presidential elections. On 12 February 2008, People First Party merged into the party. The party was absorbed by Saenuri Party on 16 November 2012. Saenuri Party (2017)
Saenuri Party () is a conservative political party in South Korea, founded by supporters of Park Geun-hye. It opposed her impeachment of Park Geun-hye, impeachment. The foundation of the new Saenuri party began in February 2017 with the establishment of a committee and submission of party formation documents to the national voting commission. In early March it was announced the new party would be named 'Saenuri'. The Liberty Korea Party had been known under this name until February 2017, during the impeachment process against Park, when it was renamed. Regional branches were established days after the impeachment of Park on 10 March. The first, on 16 March, was in Daegu (the birthplace of Park Geun-hye), with 1500 members (own figures).
