Hannah Burke
Hannah Burke (born 28 March 1988) is an English professional golfer, member of the Ladies European Tour (LET) and winner of the 2015 Tipsport Golf Masters. Amateur career Burke won the 2002 and 2003 Hertfordshire Girls Championship, the 2004 Southern Girls Championship and the 2005 Hampshire Rose. She was runner-up at the 2004 and 2005 Hertfordshire Ladies Championship, at the 2009 English Open Amateur, and the 2009 Irish Amateur Open. She won the 2010 Irish Women's Open Stroke Play Championship. In 2010 she represented England at the Espirito Santo Trophy in Argentina and the European Ladies' Team Championship in Spain. Burke attended Baylor University in Texas and earned a degree in Exercise Physiology. She was named the 2007 Big 12 Freshman of the Year for women's golf and recorded one win in collegiate competition. She finished second individually at the 2010 Big 12 Women's Golf Championship. The Queens Presented by Kowa was a women's professional team golf tournament held in Japan. The tournament was contested by teams representing the tours of Japan, Korea, Australia and Europe. The 2010 Espirito Santo Trophy took place 20–23 October at the Olivos Golf Club and Buenos Aires Golf Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was the 24th women's golf World Amateur Team Championship for the Espirito Santo Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event. There were a record 52 team entries, each with two or three players. Each team played two rounds at Olivos and two rounds at Buenos Aires. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. South Korea won the Trophy for their second title, with a record 30-under-par score of 546, 17 strokes ahead of silver medalist team United States. The 2010 European Ladies' Team Championship took place 6–10 July at La Manga Club in Cartagena, Spain. It was the 28th women's golf amateur European Ladies' Team Championship. Venue The hosting La Manga Club, located with three golf courses in the south-eastern region of Spain, Murcia, south of La Manga, and bordered by the Mar Menor and Calblanque Regional Park, was opened in 1972. The South Course was designed by golf architect Robert Dean Putman in 1971 and remodeled in 2005 by Arnold Palmer. The championship course was set up with par 73. Format All participating teams played two qualification rounds of stroke-play with six players, counted the five best scores for each team.
