Hani Al Taiar ( ar, هاني الطيار; born May 1, 1990, in Homs) is a retired Syrian footballer. International career Al Taiar plays between 2007–2008 for the Under-17 and the Under-19 Syrian national team. He was a part of the Syrian U-17 national team in the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2007. in South Korea. He plays against Argentina, Spain and Honduras in the group-stage of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2007 and against England in the Round of 16. He scored one goal against Honduras in the third match of the group-stage. He plays for the Syrian U-19 national team in the AFC U-19 Championship 2008 in Saudi Arabia and is currently a member of the Syrian U-23 national team. Honduras U-17 National Football Team

The Syrian Cup ( ar, سوريا) is Syria's premier knockout Cup tournament in men's football. It was first contested in 1959. Al-Ittihad SC has won the competition on 10 occasions. The final was first played in the 1960-61 season during the UAR era and won by Al-Majd SC. The tournament has been held annually since then except for the 1963, 1972, 1974, 1975, 1976 and 1977 seasons. The Syrian Premier League ( ar, الدوري السوري الممتاز) is a professional association football league in Syria and the top division in of the Syrian football league system. The league comprises 12 teams and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Syrian League 1st Division.
