Hang Seng China H-Financials Index (H-FIN) is one of the Hong Kong stock market indexes produced by the Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited. H-FIN was launched on 27 November 2006. It is used to reflect the performance of all China financial stocks listed in Hong Kong. Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited (HSI; zh, t=恒生指數有限公司) is a private company in Hong Kong and wholly owned by Hang Seng Bank. HSI was founded in 1984 and is the major provider of stock market indexes on Hong Kong and China stock markets such as in Shanghai and Shenzhen. H shares () refer to the shares of companies incorporated in mainland China that are traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Many companies float their shares simultaneously on the Hong Kong market and one of the two mainland Chinese stock exchanges in Shanghai or Shenzhen, they are known as A+H companies. H shares are also held by a Street name securities, nominee service company "HKSCC Nominees Limited" (HKSCC for Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company), which was owned by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing. The Hang Seng Index (HSI) is a market-Capitalization-weighted index, capitalisation-weighted stock market index in Hong Kong adjusted for free float. It tracks and records daily changes in the largest stock listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and serves as the primary indicator of overall market performance in Hong Kong.
