Richard Hanania (born August 28, 1985) is an American political science researcher and right-wing political commentator. He is the founder and president of the think tank Center for the Study of Partisanship and Ideology (CSPI). He has written for ''The Washington Post'', ''The New York Times'', ''The Atlantic'', ''The Economist'' and ''Quillette''. He wrote ''The Origins of Woke'' and publishes his newsletter on Substack. Between 2008 and the early 2010s, Hanania wrote for alt-right and white supremacist publications under the pseudonym Richard Hoste. Ray Hanania (born April 17, 1953) is an American journalist, editor, public relations expert, reporter, and stand-up comedian of Palestinian descent. After the September 11 attacks, he created the Israeli-Palestinian Comedy Tour and Comedy for Peace, which brought together Israeli and Palestinian comedians. Anastas Hanania (1903 – 1995) was a Palestinian-Jordanian lawyer, judge, official and diplomat. Hanania was educated at the Syrian Protestant College in Beirut (now the AUB) and the Law College in Jerusalem. He entered the world of Palestinian politics in the late 1930s and 1940s. Career After the 1948 Deir Yassin massacre, Hanania and his family left Palestine for Amman. During the 1950s, Hanania was one of the original signatories to the Constitution of Jordan of 1952, which remains the law of the land today. Eleazar ben Hanania (; ) was a Jewish leader during the Great Revolt of Judea. Eleazar was the son of the High Priest Hanania ben Nedebai and hence a political figure of the 1st century Judaea Province. Eleazar was the governor of the temple at the outbreak of the rebellion in 66 CE and following the initial outbreak of the violence in Jerusalem convinced the priests of the Jewish Temple to stop service of sacrifice for the Emperor. The action, though largely symbolic, was one of the main milestones to bring a full-scale rebellion in Judea.
