Hallow Road
''Hallow Road'' is a 2025 psychological thriller film directed by Babak Anvari and written by William Gillies. It stars Rosamund Pike, Matthew Rhys, and Megan McDonnell. Plot The film opens at 2am in a family home, where broken glass and untouched food indicate an argument has taken place. Paramedic Maddie and her husband Frank are sleeping. Awoken by a smoke alarm, Maddie takes a call from their eighteen-year-old daughter Alice who, having taken Frank's car and driven into the woods after an argument with her parents, hit a girl, who ran out into the road, with the car. Babak Anvari
Babak Anvari (; born 1983) is a British-Iranian filmmaker. He is best known for directing horror films such as '' Under the Shadow'' (2016) and ''Wounds'' (2019). Early life Anvari grew up in Tehran, Iran, with his older brother at the time of the Iran–Iraq War and the Iranian Cultural Revolution. He said in 2016, "We've both grown up with night terrors, being afraid of being left alone, of being in the dark for too long." At age 19 in 2002, Anvari moved to London, going on to graduate from the University of Westminster in 2005. Greystones () is a coastal town and seaside resort in County Wicklow, Ireland.
