Halifax Mooseheads
The Halifax Mooseheads are a Canadian junior ice hockey team in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The team was founded in 1994 and began play in the Dilio Division of the QMJHL for the 1994–95 season. Mooseheads history They have appeared in the President's Cup Finals five times, winning in 2013. The other four appearances were in 2003, 2005, 2019 and 2023. They hosted the Memorial Cup in 2000 and 2019 and won the tournament in 2013. The team plays their home games at the Scotiabank Centre. The Mooseheads were the first team from Atlantic Canada to join the QMJHL. With the Mooseheads' success, the QMJHL then expanded to several other east coast cities. Beauport Harfangs
The Beauport Harfangs (Snow Owls) were a junior ice hockey team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) from 1990 to 1997. The team played its home games at the Aréna Marcel-Bédard in the Quebec City suburb of Beauport. The team's first coach was Alain Chainey, who had previously been an assistant coach with the National Hockey League (NHL)'s Quebec Nordiques. Shawn MacKenzie
Shawn Kenneth MacKenzie (born August 22, 1962) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who played a total of 130 minutes during 6 games in the National Hockey League with the New Jersey Devils. He had 15 goals scored against him in those 130 minutes of play, for a Goals Against Average of 6.92. From 2000 to 2004 he served as head coach of the QMJHL's Halifax Mooseheads. Clément Jodoin
Clément Jodoin (born January 10, 1952) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player, former head coach of the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League, a former assistant coach of the Montreal Canadiens, having previously been the head coach of the Rimouski Océanic of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Career Jodoin played junior ice hockey with Rosemont National in the QMHL during 1969–70 and 1970–71, and later with Concordia University in the CIS. Jodoin was hired as an assistant coach with the Pittsburgh Penguins for the 1987–88 NHL season, then earned his first head coaching duties with the Halifax Citadels of the American Hockey League during 1990–91 and 1991–92. Wendell Young
Wendell Edward Young (born August 1, 1963) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He is currently serving as the vice chairman/governor of the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League. Wendell's moniker is "Ringmaster" as he is currently the only player in hockey history to have won all four cups: the Memorial Cup, Calder Cup, Turner Cup and Stanley Cup. His Chicago Wolves Jersey #1 was retired in a ceremony at their home rink, The Allstate Arena, (Rosemont, IL) on December 1, 2001. All four cups were on hand to honor his history making achievements.
