Halethorpe is an Unincorporated area, unincorporated community in Baltimore County, Maryland, Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. The community is considered to be a sub-section of Arbutus, Maryland, Arbutus by the United States Census Bureau. It is bordered by the main portion of Arbutus to the north, Baltimore to the North East, Elkridge, Maryland, Elkridge to the South West, and Linthicum, Maryland, Linthicum to the East. It is southeast of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Fire protection Halethorpe is home to the Baltimore County Fire Department's Station 5, located on the corner of Washington Boulevard and Halethorpe Farms Road. Arbutus is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. The population was 20,483 at the 2010 census. The census area also contains the communities of Halethorpe and Relay, in which all three names were used during the 1960 census when the area had a population of 22,402. Route 77 is a bus route operated by the Maryland Transit Administration in the suburbs of Baltimore. The line currently runs from the Old Court Metro Subway Station in Pikesville, Maryland to the Patapsco Light Rail Stop, and serves Randallstown, Windsor Mill, Woodlawn, Catonsville, Arbutus, Halethorpe, and Lansdowne, and the campuses of UMBC and CCBC Catonsville (formerly Catonsville Community College). Elkridge, Maryland
Elkridge is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Howard County, Maryland, United States. The population was 15,593 at the 2010 census. Founded early in the 18th century, Elkridge is adjacent to two other counties, Anne Arundel and Baltimore. History Elkridge qualifies as the oldest settlement in its present county, when Howard was a part of Anne Arundel County. Its location on the Patapsco River was a key element in its growth. The Maryland General Assembly elected a law to erect a , forty-lot town at the pre-existing settlement of Elkridge Landing to be called "Jansen Town" in 1733. The Penn Line is a MARC commuter rail service running from Union Station in Washington, D.C., to Perryville, Maryland, along the far southern leg of the Northeast Corridor. However, the great majority of trains terminate at Baltimore's Penn Station. It is MARC's busiest and only electric line. With trains running at speeds of up to , it is the fastest commuter line in the United States. The service is operated by Amtrak under contract to the Maryland Transit Administration. Heavy Seas Beer
Heavy Seas Beer is brewed by Clipper City Brewing Company, in Baltimore, Maryland. The brewery was established by Hugh Sisson in 1995. Previously, Sisson operated Maryland's first brewpub, Sisson's. In 2010, the brewery rebranded. While the name of the company remains Clipper City Brewing Company, all of its beer falls under the Heavy Seas brand. Heavy Seas hosts tours on most weekends. MARC (Maryland Area Rail Commuter) is a commuter rail system in the Baltimore–Washington metropolitan area. MARC is administered by the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) and operated under contract by Alstom and Amtrak on track owned by CSX Transportation (CSXT) and Amtrak.
