The 2024 North Carolina lieutenant gubernatorial election was held on November 5, 2024, to elect the lieutenant governor of North Carolina. Democratic Party (United States), Democratic state senator Rachel Hunt won her first term in office, defeating Republican Party (United States), Republican state official Hal Weatherman. She succeeded Republican incumbent Mark Robinson (American politician), Mark Robinson, who did not seek re-election in order to unsuccessfully 2024 North Carolina gubernatorial election, run for governor. In her party's primary, Hunt won the Democratic nomination with 70% of the vote over former state Senator Ben Clark (politician), Ben Clark and businessman Mark H. Robinson (no relation to the incumbent). A percentage point or percent point is the unit (measurement), unit for the difference (mathematics), arithmetic difference between two percentages.
