Haji Abu-Salam Bath
Bath Haji Absalam (Azerbaijani - ''Hacı Əbu-Salam hamamı'' ) - is an old bathhouse located in the village of Pirşağı in the Sabunçu raion, Sabunchu district of Baku, Azerbaijan. This is one of the most famous places in the settlement. This building, known as "''Sand Bath''" among the local population, was built by ''Haji Shahverdi Shahverdizadeh'', a resident of the settlement. It is noted that the bath belongs to the 19th century, Haji Shahverdi built this bath together with his son Mashadi Sadiq Shahverdizade. Origin of ritual People have always considered baths as a place of comfort, cleanliness, vitality, health, spiritual peace, relaxation, and renewal of the soul. Pirşağı
Pirşağı (also, Pirshaga and Pirshagi) is a settlement and municipality 34 km away from the railway station of Baku, Azerbaijan. Located on the northern coast of Absheron Rayon, Absheron, it is in the Sabunçu, Baku, Sabunchu district of Baku city. It is called Pirshagi (the shah of feasts) because it was initially a settlement where pilgrims gathered. A seaside resort, it is considered one of the most ancient settlements in Absheron. It has a population of 4,826. Main sights Pirshagi is famous for its "gold dust" sandy beaches and its grapes and figs. There are many architectural monuments in Pirshagi, including a 19th-century mosque, an old bathhouse, and a pir called "Pirshagi tataz piri". Sabunchu district (formerly: Lenin district) is a district of Baku city. Population According to AzStat's official data as of January 1, 2013, 231,271 people live in the region. Absheron Region
The Absheron Economic Region is located in the eastern part of the Republic of Azerbaijan and comprises Baku and Sumgait cities and the Absheron and Khizi districts.
