Haim Levy
Haim Levy ( he, חיים לוי; born 1961) is an Israeli football manager and former player who manages Hapoel Ashdod. Playing career Levy started his career in the Hapoel Netanya. In the 1991–92 season he played for Hapoel Haifa and achieved promotion to the first division. In the 1992–93 season Levy played For Maccabi Ironi Ashdod and was promoted to the first division. Managerial career After retiring as a player, Levy became a manager. He managed Bnei Sakhnin in the First League in 2010. He went on to manage clubs in the second division and in Liga Alef. On 1 December 2016, Levy has been appointed coach of Maccabi Kiryat Gat Maccabi Kiryat Gat F.C. ( he, מכבי קריית גת) was an Israeli football team based in the southern city of Kiryat Gat. Netanya
Netanya (also known as Natanya, he, נְתַנְיָה) is a city in the Northern Central District of Israel, and is the capital of the surrounding Sharon plain. It is north of Tel Aviv, and south of Haifa, between Poleg stream and Wingate Institute in the south and the Avihayil stream in the north. Hapoel ( he, הפועל, lit. ''the worker'') is an Israeli Jewish sports association established in 1926 by the Histadrut Labor Federation. History During the British Mandate of Palestine period Hapoel had a bitter rivalry with Maccabi and organized its own competitions, with the exception of football, the only sport in which all the organizations played each other. Liga Alef ( he, ליגה א', , League A) is the third tier of the Israeli football league system. It is divided into two regional divisions, north and south. History League football began in Israel in 1949–50, a year after the Israeli Declaration of Independence. However, the financial and security crises gripping the young nation caused the 1950–51 season to be abandoned before it had started. When football resumed in 1951–52, the new top division went by the name of Liga Alef. The 1952–53 season was also not played, and Liga Alef resumed in 1953–54. Liga Leumit ( he, ליגה לאומית, lit. ''National League'') is the second division of the Israeli Football League, and below its Premier League. Structure There are 16 clubs in the league. At the end of each season, the two lowest-placed teams are relegated to Liga Alef while the two highest-placed teams from Liga Alef are promoted in their place. The two highest-placed Liga Leumit teams are promoted to the Israeli Premier League while the bottom two teams from Israeli Premier League are relegated in their place.
