Hailuogou
Hailuogou (; ) is a glacier located in Luding County, Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan, China. It is a feature of Hailuogou Glacier Forest Park. The glacier is next to Moxi and over southwest of Chengdu. It is a 5A-level (AAAAA) tourist attraction in China. It is famous for its low-altitude modern glaciers, large ice waterfalls and alpine hot springs. The glacier originates from Mount Gongga. History In February 2017, the park was listed under the 5A-level tourist attractions list. On September 5, 2022, a magnitude-6.8 earthquake struck Luding County, killing three park employees. An additional 219 visitors were trapped in the park for more than 50 hours before being rescued. 2022 Luding Earthquake
A 6.7 ( 6.8) earthquake struck Luding County in Sichuan province, China on 5 September 2022 at 12:52:19 local time. The epicenter was located from Chengdu, or southeast of Kangding. Ninety-three people died, 424 were injured and 24 remained missing. More than 13,000 homes and other infrastructure were damaged or destroyed. It was the largest earthquake to strike the province since 2017. Tectonic setting Sichuan is situated in a complex zone of faulting created by the continued collision of the Indian Plate with the Eurasian Plate. As Himalayan underthrusting continues, the crust of the Eurasian Plate is deformed and uplifted to form the Tibetan Plateau. Instead of thrust faulting to its south, the Tibetan Plateau accommodates deformation through strike-slip escape tectonics. AAAAA Tourist Attractions Of China

Mount Gongga
Mount Gongga (), also known as Minya Konka (Khams Tibetan pinyin: ''Mi'nyâg Gong'ga Riwo'') and colloquially as "The King of Sichuan Mountains", is the highest mountain in Sichuan province, China. It has an elevation of above sea level. This makes it the third highest peak in the world outside of the Himalaya/Karakoram range, after Tirich Mir and Kongur Tagh, and the easternmost peak in the world. It is situated in the Daxue Shan mountain range, between Dadu River and Yalong River, and is part of the Hengduan mountainous region. From it comes the Hailuogou glacier. Moxi, Luding County
Moxi is a town and township in Luding County in the Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan, China. As of 2000 it had 6,794 inhabitants. Moxi Town stands at the gateway to the Hailuogou Glacier Forest Park, south of Kangding and east of Mount Gongga. The town also featured in the Battle of Luding Bridge in 1935 when some of those who fought in the battle including Mao Zedong met in Moxi and stayed the night when the army marched through before heading north. A hot spring, hydrothermal spring, or geothermal spring is a spring produced by the emergence of geothermally heated groundwater onto the surface of the Earth.
