Hailaker
Hailaker is an indie pop music project of British musicians Jemima Coulter and Ed Tullett, who work between Bristol, Cardiff, and Oxfordshire. They are aided by Portland, Oregon artist Mike Roth who creates artwork, and Ali Lacey (better known as Novo Amor). According to Coulter, Tullett contacted her in 2016, when she was 18 years old, after he heard her music through a friend. She then drove to his house, and they wrote three songs on the spot, which would later be included in the debut album. The duo debuted with a 2018 double-A single "Rainmaker"/"Earthbound". Their first album, self-titled, was released in 2019, and was followed by the 2020 album ''Holding''. Additionally, they have released music with S. Carey and lilo. As of 2019, they were signed to Lowswimmer, a newly created label run by Lacey, his manager and Tullet. Ed Tullett
Ed Tullett (born 20 October 1993), also known under his solo moniker Lowswimmer, is an English multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter and producer. His work includes collaborations with Novo Amor, and artist projects Hailaker, Lissom and Tolari. History In October 2012 Tullett signed to Equal Vision Records. In the same month, Tullett's remix of Bon Iver's " Hinnom, TX" was released on Spotify. He then released an EP entitled ''Trawl'' through MTV Hype Music. Equal Vision Records followed this by digitally re-releasing a remastered version of the previously self-released ''Never Joy'' in December 2012. Another single, "Oxblood", was released on Equal Vision Records in April 2013. Tullett began collaborating with Welsh Indie-Folk artist Novo Amor with their first collaborative single "Faux", which was released 23 June 2014 on Dumont Dumont & Brilliance Records. Ali Lacey
Ali John Meredith-Lacey (born 11 August 1991), better known under the moniker Novo Amor, is a Welsh multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, sound designer and producer. Lacey rose to prominence after the release of his debut EP ''Woodgate, NY'' in March 2014. Career Lacey was born on 11 August 1991 and raised in Llanidloes, Wales and now resides in Cardiff. ''Drift,'' a two-track single self-released in 2012, was Lacey's first release as Novo Amor. Lacey's first Novo Amor EP, ''Woodgate, NY'', was released 31 March 2014 on Norwegian label Brilliance Records. Building on the success of the EP, Lacey released the single "Faux", a collaboration with Ed Tullett, on Dumont Dumont and Brilliance Records on 23 June 2014. Imogen Heap
Imogen Jennifer Heap (born 9 December 1977) is a British musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. Her work has been considered pioneering in pop and electropop music. Heap classically trained in piano, cello and clarinet starting at a young age. She began writing songs at the age of 13 and, while attending boarding school, taught herself music production. After being discovered by manager Mickey Modern while attending the BRIT School, Heap signed to independent record label Almo Sounds at the age of 18 and later began working with experimental pop band Acacia. The Music
The Music are an English alternative rock band, formed in Kippax, Leeds in 1999. Comprising Robert Harvey (vocals, guitar), Adam Nutter (lead guitar), Stuart Coleman (bass) and Phil Jordan (drums), the band came to prominence with the release of their self-titled debut album in 2002. The band released two further studio albums, ''Welcome to the North'' (2004) and '' Strength in Numbers'' (2008), before parting ways in 2011. Career The Music all met at Brigshaw High School (except Phil Jordan, who went to Garforth), and began playing in 1999 as Insense. In 2001, the song "Take the Long Road and Walk It" circulated as a demo before being released by Fierce Panda as a 1000-copies-only single, a rarity from its day of release. Guitar tunings are the assignment of pitches to the open strings of guitars, including acoustic guitars, electric guitars, and classical guitars. Tunings are described by the particular pitches that are made by notes in Western music. By convention, the notes are ordered and arranged from the lowest-pitched string (i.e., the deepest bass-sounding note) to the highest-pitched string (i.e., the highest sounding note), or the thickest string to thinnest, or the lowest frequency to the highest. This sometimes confuses beginner guitarists, since the highest-pitched string is referred to as the 1st string, and the lowest-pitched is the 6th string. Standard tuning defines the string pitches as E, A, D, G, B, and E, from the lowest pitch (low E2) to the highest pitch (high E4). Bon Iver ( ) is an American indie folk band founded in 2006 by singer-songwriter Justin Vernon. Vernon released Bon Iver's debut album, ''For Emma, Forever Ago,'' independently in July 2007. The majority of the album was recorded while Vernon spent three months isolated in a cabin in western Wisconsin. A pseudoword is a unit of speech or text that appears to be an actual word in a certain language, while in fact it has no meaning in the lexicon. It is a kind of non-lexical vocable. A pseudoword is a specific type of non-word composed of a combination of phonemes which conform to the language's phonotactic rules.
