Hail Of Bullets
Hail of Bullets was a Dutch old school death metal supergroup from Rotterdam. The band's lyrical content deals with the Second World War, and is based upon the research of vocalist Martin van Drunen, who has been described as the band's "resident historian". The band has released three albums via Metal Blade Records. History Hail of Bullets formed at the end of 2006 when guitarist Stephan Gebédi recruited singer Martin van Drunen, drummer Ed Warby, bass player Theo van Eekelen and guitarist Paul Baayens for an old school death metal band. The band members already knew each other from their previous and present bands like Asphyx, Gorefest, Thanatos, and Houwitser. Hail of Bullets was influenced by old school death metal bands like Autopsy, Massacre, Bolt Thrower, early Death as well as Celtic Frost. On Divine Winds
''On Divine Winds'' is the second album from Hail of Bullets, an old school death metal band formed by current and former members of Asphyx and Gorefest. ''On Divine Winds'' continued the band's focus upon the Second World War, this time focusing upon the Pacific Campaign. The album title is a reference to the English translation of " Kamikaze" and was produced by Dan Swanö. Background Drummer Ed Warby said that the main difference between the first album and ''On Divine Winds'' was that the band "semi-subconsciously" incorporated more melody into the music. Bolt Thrower
Bolt Thrower were a British death metal band from Coventry. They formed in 1986 and released their first album with Vinyl Solution in 1988. The band then shifted to a new record label, Earache Records, soon becoming one of the best selling bands on that label. Their last label was Metal Blade Records. The band had a succession of members, and had toured Europe, the United States, and Australia. Over the course of their 30-year career, Bolt Thrower released eight studio albums, three EPs, one live album, three compilation albums and two demos. Their albums have sold over 100,000 copies in the United States as of 2005. Wacken Open Air (, abbreviated as W:O:A) is a Heavy metal music, heavy metal music festival, held annually since 1990 on the first weekend of August in the village of Wacken, Schleswig-Holstein, Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Hellfest (American Music Festival)
Hellfest was an American all-ages music festival that existed between 1997 and 2005. The festival showcased hardcore punk, hardcore music in its broadest sense, including punk rock, metalcore, emo, post-hardcore and more. It originated in Central New York, in and around Syracuse, New York, Syracuse, but eventually relocated to Central New Jersey during its final years. Hellfest was known for its fan-friendly atmosphere, including a lack of barriers that provided easy access to the stage for stage diving and sing-alongs. It also encouraged social-awareness through workshops that discussed such causes as animal rights, LGBT, LGBTQ and politics, with many of its bands and attendees following straight edge, straight-edge and/or Vegetarianism, vegetarian or Veganism, vegan lifestyles. Maryland Deathfest
Maryland Deathfest (often abbreviated to MDF) is an annual American extreme metal music festival founded in 2003 by Ryan Taylor and Evan Harting. The festival is held in Baltimore, Maryland during Memorial Day weekend, and it features many bands from around the world that vary from a wide range of heavy metal subgenres. It is the biggest event of its kind in North America, attracting attendees from more than 40 U.S. states and 25 countries every year. Twisted Sister
Twisted Sister was an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band formed in 1972 in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, and later based on Long Island, New York (state), New York. Their best-known songs include "We're Not Gonna Take It (Twisted Sister song), We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock", both of which were associated with Music video, music videos noted for their sense of slapstick humor.
