Hafsa Ahmed is a New Zealand academic, and is a lecturer in the Department of Global Value Chains and Trade at Lincoln University. In 2023, Ahmed was appointed a Member of the Order of New Zealand for services to ethnic communities and women. Lincoln University ( Māori: ''Te Whare Wānaka o Aoraki'') is a public university in New Zealand that was formed in 1990 when Lincoln College, Canterbury was made independent of the University of Canterbury. The Order of New Zealand is the highest honour in the New Zealand royal honours system, created "to recognise outstanding service to the Crown and people of New Zealand in a civil or military capacity".
