Hadi Asghari (, born 12 May 1981) is an Iranian football striker who currently plays for Shahrdari Urmia F.C. in the Iran Football's 2nd Division. He became the top goalscorer in Iran Pro League in 2007–08 season along with Mohsen Khalili. Club career He became the top scorer of the league in 2007–08 season with Mohsen Khalili with 18 goals and moved to Sepahan from Rah Ahan under Amir Ghalenoei management in summer 2008 but had a difficult season where he was mostly used as the substitute and moved for the 2009–10 season to Pas. He had a good performance in Pas, where he played in most of games starting in 27 games and scored 10 goals. Salmas
Salmas () is a city in the Central District of Salmas County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district. It is northwest of Lake Urmia, near Turkey. Etymology The original name of Salmas was Dilman, which is probably related to the Daylamites who sometimes controlled the region. In the 20th century, it was known as Shapur. Hazfi Cup (, ) formerly known as Pahlavi Cup () is an Iranian knockout football competition held annually by the Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran. The Iranian Football League, Iranian football league was not held during the 1980s, hence the winner of Hazfi Cup represented Iran in the Asian Club Championship. After the revival of the league system, the champion of Iranian league qualified for Asian Club Championship and the winner of Hazfi Cup for Asian Cup Winners' Cup. The Asian Cup Winners' Cup merged with the Asian Champions Cup in 2002–03 AFC Champions League, 2002–03 to form the AFC Champions League and Iran was initially given two (and later four) slots in this competitions. Azadegan League
The Azadegan League (, ''Lig-e Âzâdegân''), also known as League 1 (, ''Lig-e Yek''), is the second highest division of professional football in Iran. It was the top-level football league in Iran from its foundation in 1991 until 2001, when the Persian Gulf Pro League was established. Azadegan League operates on a system of promotion and relegation. Each year, the top finishing teams in the Azadegan League are promoted to the Persian Gulf Pro League, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to League 2 (Iran), League 2.
