Habz
Azeddine Habz (born 19 July 1993) is a French middle- and long-distance runner. He won silver and bronze medals in the 1500 metres at the 2025 and 2023 European Indoor Championships. Personal life Habz was brought up in Morocco before relocating to France in 2012. He received French citizenship and began representing France in August 2018. He studied sociology at the University of Paris. Career In October 2018, Habz became the French half marathon champion. On 29 February 2020, he won the 3000 metres at the French Indoor Championships in a time of 7:57.20. He was selected to run for France at the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo in the 1500 metres race. Selected for the 1500m at the 2023 World Athletics Championships, he qualified for the final, in which he finished eleventh. 2024 Diamond League
The 2024 Diamond League was the fifteenth season of the annual series of outdoor track and field meetings, organised by World Athletics. The competition was a revision to the top level athletics series since Diamond League foundation in 2010. The number of Diamond Discipline events was 32. Each meeting will host a number of Diamond Discipline events and some of these events will not be broadcast. Events losing Diamond Discipline status will feature on the World Athletics Continental Tour, the second tier of track and field meetings. 1500 Metres
The 1500 metres or 1500-metre run is the foremost middle distance track event in athletics. The distance has been contested at the Summer Olympics since 1896 and the World Championships in Athletics since 1983. It is equivalent to 1.5 kilometers or approximately miles. The event is closely associated with its slightly longer variant, the mile run, from which it derives its nickname "the metric mile". The demands of the race are similar to that of the 800 metre run, but with a slightly higher emphasis on aerobic endurance and a slightly lower sprint speed requirement.
