Ha Wen
Ha Wen (; born April 13, 1969) is a Chinese television producer and director of Hui heritage. Biography Ha was born in Wuzhong, Ningxia; her father came from Benxi, Liaoning province. She works for China Central Television (CCTV) and is most famous for directing the CCTV New Year's Gala The ''CCTV New Year's Gala'', also known as the ''Spring Festival Gala'', and commonly abbreviated in Chinese as ''Chunwan'', is a Chinese New Year special produced by China Media Group (CMG). Hui People
The Hui people ( zh, c=, p=Huízú, w=Hui2-tsu2, Xiao'erjing: , dng, Хуэйзў, ) are an East Asian ethnoreligious group predominantly composed of Chinese-speaking adherents of Islam. They are distributed throughout China, mainly in the northwestern provinces and in the Zhongyuan region. According to the 2011 census, China is home to approximately 10.5 million Hui people. The 110,000 Dungan people of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are also considered part of the Hui ethnicity. The Hui have a distinct connection with Islamic culture. For example, they follow Islamic dietary laws and reject the consumption of pork, the most commonly consumed meat in China, and have developed their own variation of Chinese cuisine. They also dress differently than the Han Chinese, some men wear white caps ( taqiyah) and some women wear headscarves, as is the case in many Islamic cultures. Wuzhong, Ningxia
Wuzhong (, Xiao'erjing: وُجْو شِ) is a prefecture-level city in the Ningxia autonomous region of the People's Republic of China. It was known as Yinnan Prefecture (, Xiao'erjing: ءٍنًا دِٿِيُوِ) before it was upgraded to a prefecture-level city in 1998. In 2019, Wuzhong had a population of 1.4 million. Wuzhong is located in the Northwest of China, with the Yellow River flowing through the center of the city. Benxi
Benxi (, ) is a prefecture-level city located in the east of Liaoning province, People's Republic of China, south-southeast of the provincial capital Shenyang. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,326,018 (1,709,538 in 2010) whom 809,655 lived in the built-up area made of 3 urban districts (Pingshan, Xihu and Mingshan). Li Yong (; 3 May 1968 – 25 October 2018) was a leading host on China Central Television (CCTV). He was known for hosting the programs '' Lucky 52'', ''Super 6+1'', and various editions of the CCTV New Year's Gala. He was known for his unorthodox presentation skills and flamboyant outfits. Biography Li's family originated from Shandong, but he was born and raised in Urumqi, Xinjiang, in the far-west part of China. As a child, he was interested in painting. He excelled in the National College Entrance Examination and planned to become an actor. From 1987 he studied radio at the then Beijing Broadcasting Institute, where he began dating Ha Wen. The two subsequently married; Ha has both produced Li's programmes for CCTV and been his publicist. Li was a member of the Communist Party of China. ''Lucky 52'' (Simplified Chinese: 幸运52) is a variety show of CCTV-2, hosted by Li Yong. It was premiered in November 1998 and used the format of GoBingo. Due to the reformation of the channel, the last episode of the show aired on October 25, 2008. Format changes This show changed its format for several times, although the name of the show remained unchanged. The following are some of the formats used by the show.
