HSV De Zuidvogels
Huizen Sport Vereniging De Zuidvogels is a football club from Huizen, Netherlands. Its first squad plays in the Eerste Klasse since 2001, with the exception of the 2017–18 season in the Hoofdklasse. History Zuidvogels was founded 15 April 1928 by a group of young people, all of whom were football fans. As there already was a soccer club in North Huizen, going by the name of Huizen (now SV Huizen), the youngsters named their South Huizen club Zuidvogels ("southern birds"). In 1952 the club was renamed HSV De Zuidvogels, which remains the official name. The club had grown to 400 members in 1962. In 1963 a new clubhouse was built by its own members, which has been extended and renovated over the years. Due to the development of a new neighborhood, De Oostermeent, the number of residents of Huizen has almost doubled. This also increased the number of members of Zuidvogels. Huizen () is a municipality and a village in the province of North Holland, the Netherlands. The name "Huizen" is Dutch for "houses" and this usage has been linked to the belief that the first stone houses, instead of the more common sod houses at the time, in the region appeared here. A Cruyff Court is a small football field with a surface made of artificial grass, a contemporary version of the ball court. The Courts are a project of the Johan Cruyff Foundation of which Johan Cruijff himself was one of the founders. The first was the '' Cruyff Court Aron Winter Veld'' in Lelystad. Tweede Divisie ( en, Second Division) is the highest amateur (and historically the lowest professional) football league in the Netherlands. It was established in 1956, together with the Eredivisie and the Eerste Divisie. Between 1956 and 1960 and between 1962 and 1966, the league consisted of two divisions, Tweede Divisie A and Tweede Divisie B. The league was disbanded in 1971.
