HMS ''Sikh'' was a destroyer of the British Royal Navy. The ship entered service in 1938 and served during the Second World War, participating in the sinking of ''Bismarck'' and the Battle of Cape Bon. In 1942, while participating in a commando raid, ''Sikh'' was sunk by a combination of shore artillery, anti-aircraft guns and aerial bombs. Parsons Marine Steam Turbine Company was a British engineering company based on the River Tyne at Wallsend, North East England. The draft or draught of a ship's hull is the vertical distance between the waterline and the bottom of the hull ( keel). The draught of the vessel is the maximum depth of any part of the vessel, including appendages such as rudders, propellers and drop keels if deployed.
