HMCS Unicorn
HMCS ''Unicorn'' is a Canadian Forces Naval Reserve division (NRD) in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Dubbed a stone frigate, ''Unicorn'' is a land-based naval training establishment crewed by part-time sailors and also serves as a local recruitment centre for the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN). It is one of 24 naval reserve divisions in major cities across Canada. Namesake Warships bearing the name were part of the Royal Navy dating back to 1544. Canadian Military Bands
Canadian military bands are a group of personnel in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) that performs musical duties for military functions. Military bands form a part of the Band Branch (Canadian Forces), Music Branch of the CAF, composed of six full-time professional Regular Force bands, 15 Regular Force voluntary bands, and 53 part-time Primary Reserve, reserve force bands. Bands of the Music Branch are often badged with the Military unit, unit or Canadian Forces base insignia that they support. Regular Force musicians are selected nationally by competitive audition prior to enlisting.
