HIF Akademi was a Swedish football club located in Helsingborg. The club was a feeder team to Helsingborgs IF. Background HIF Akademi was created on 2 March 2013 after Helsingborgs IF took over the club Ramlösa Södra FF and renamed it Helsingborgs IF Akademi. They played their home matches at the Olympia in Helsingborg. The club was dissolved in 2016 as a result of the relegation of Helsingborgs IF to Superettan. Olympia, sometimes referred to as ''Olympiastadion'' ( en, Olympic Stadium), is a football stadium in Helsingborg, Sweden. It was opened in 1898, but has been rebuilt in 1993, 1997 and 2014–2017, and has a capacity of 17,200 (9,673 seated and about 7,500 ground attendance stands). Division 2 is the fourth level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 84 Swedish football teams. Division 2 had status as the official second level from 1928 to 1986 but was replaced by Division 1 in 1987. Helsingborgs IF (full name Helsingborgs Idrottsförening), commonly referred to as HIF (), is a Swedish professional football club located in Helsingborg. They play in the Swedish first tier, Allsvenskan, following promotion in the 2021 Superettan season via play-offs. Formed in 1907, the club has won five national championship titles and five national cup titles. Helsingborgs IF have also won Allsvenskan on two occasions when the title of Swedish champions was not decided by the outcome of that league. Helsingborg was a founder member of Allsvenskan, and between 1924 and 1968 they spent all but two seasons in the top division, and won the league five times. Ramlösa Södra FF is a Swedish football club from Helsingborg. On 2 March 2013 the club changed name from Ramlösa FF to Ramlösa Södra FF. Background The club was founded on 24 November 2007 following the merger of the Helsingborgs Södra BIS and Ramlösa BoIS clubs. Before the merger Helsingborg Södra played football in Division 2 Södra Götaland and Ramlösa BoIS in Division 6. Following the merger the club runs two teams – one that plays in Division 2 under the name Ramlösa Södra FF and the other which plays in Division 6 under the name Ramlösa FF. Helsingborg Södra used to play in red and Ramlösa BoIS in blue, so it is logical that new club colours were chosen as red and blue stripes.
