HGTV Design Star Season 5
The fifth season of ''HGTV Design Star'' premiered on June 13, 2010. The series returned to New York City for the new season. Clive Pearse did not return to host. Instead, Vern Yip served as both lead judge and host. Candice Olson and Genevieve Gorder both returned for their second season as judges. As part of the elimination process this season, the designers up for elimination are taped presenting their designs so the judges can evaluate their preparedness to host a series. The winner of this season was prop stylist Emily Henderson. Her show ''Secrets From a Stylist'' was aired as a special one-hour premiere on August 29, 2010, where she redesigned the Los Angeles home of Ian Brennan, her friend and the co-creator of Glee. ''HGTV Star'', named ''HGTV Design Star'' for the first seven seasons, is an American reality television, reality competition show that premiered on July 23, 2006, on the cable television network HGTV. Clive Pearse served as host for Seasons 1-4, then judge Vern Yip served as host for Season 5, replacing Clive Pearse. HGTV'D host Tanika Ray served as host for Season 6 and ''Design Star'' Season 1 winner David Bromstad joined the show as a mentor. Bromstad later returned not only as mentor but as host, replacing Tanika Ray, for the remainder of the show including ''Design Star: All Stars'', even though Tanika Ray was announced as host for Season 7. Vern Yip (''Deserving Design''), Genevieve Gorder (''Dear Genevieve''), and Sabrina Soto (''The High/Low Project'') currently serve as the show's three judges. Aarón Sánchez (chef)
Aarón Sánchez (born February 12, 1976) is a Mexican-American celebrity chef, restaurateur, cookbook author, television personality host, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Curb Appeal
''Curb Appeal'' is a half-hour television series that has aired on HGTV in the United States from September 30, 1999 to the present, exploring how a house's outside " curb appeal" will be updated. Various hosts over the years (including Sasha Andreev), talk the viewer through the planned improvements. Originally the new look was imagined by drawing the proposed changes over a still picture of the exterior but now computer-generated visualizations are created. Changes include painting, landscaping, and fences, as well as pruning or removing overgrown shrubs, and sometimes cutting down trees. 88 Morgan Street, formerly known as "Trump Plaza", is the first of two apartment complex buildings to be built in Jersey City, New Jersey. Trump Plaza Residences is and has 55 floors, and is the 7th tallest residential building in New Jersey.
