HFC Haarlem
HFC Haarlem was a Dutch football club from the city of Haarlem, established in 1889 and dissolved in 2010. The club won the Eredivisie in 1946 and reached five Cup finals, winning in 1902 and 1912. Haarlem reached the second round of the 1982–83 UEFA Cup, losing to Spartak Moscow of the Soviet Union. Haarlem was declared bankrupt on 25 January 2010, and excluded from professional football with immediate effect. Haarlem played its last professional match on 22 January 2010, a 3–0 away loss to Excelsior. In April 2010, three months after its exclusion from professional football, a new HFC Haarlem merged into Tweede Klasse club HFC Kennemerland, the new club being named Haarlem-Kennemerland FC. Haarlem-Kennemerland FC
Haarlem-Kennemerland FC is a Dutch football club from the city of Haarlem, established in 2010 when a new club that had bought the naming rights of the bankrupt HFC Haarlem merged into the Tweede Klasse-side HFC Kennemerland. HFC Kennemerland was founded in 1921 as Wilhelmina. History 1921–2010: HFC Kennemerland The club was founded on 1 January 1921 under the name Wilhelmina. Because this name was already used by another club, the club changed its name to HFC Kennemerland in December 1921. The club grew quickly and because the club played on Saturdays, unusual in the region, the Haarlemsche Voetbalbond needed to start in the 1921–22 season a Saturday competition. In 1941 a baseball division was added. In 1947 the club won a section championship in the Vierde Klasse of the KNVB. In 1949, the finale of the KNVB cup for amateurs was won and lost to IJmuiden. Haarlem Stadion () is a stadium in Haarlem, Netherlands, and the home stadium of the Dutch amateur football club Haarlem Kennemerland. Cees Schapendonk (born 24 December 1955) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a forward. Tweede Divisie (; ) is the highest amateur (and historically the lowest professional) football league in the Netherlands. It was established in 1956, together with the Eredivisie and the Eerste Divisie. Between 1956 and 1960 and between 1962 and 1966, the league consisted of two divisions, Tweede Divisie A and Tweede Divisie B. The league was disbanded in 1971.
