Gürsel Tekin
Gürsel Tekin (born 6 January 1964 in Ardahan, Turkey) is a Turkish politician of Kurdish descent and vice-president of Republican People's Party (CHP). Biography Gürsel Tekin was born in the Karlıyazı (Kırziyan) village of the Göle District of Ardahan Province, Turkey. Tekin received his high school diploma from Kars Alparslan Lisesi (Kars Alparslan High School). Then he studied Turkish Literature Faculty at Atatürk University but he did not continue to school because of economic problems. Then he came to Istanbul for his military service. Political career First he was the member of SODEP (Social Democracy Party) (). Then SODEP fused with HP to become SHP. In 1995 SHP and CHP came together. In 1999 Tekin became vice-mayor of Kadıköy and also in 1999 and 2004 he entered in Istanbul Municipality Council. Then in 2007 he became the provincial CHP chairman of Istanbul Province. Gursel Veli ( ) (born 8 August 1982) is a Bulgarian football player of Turkish origin, currently playing for Vereya as a midfielder. Veli is an offensive midfielder. His first club was Maritsa Plovdiv. Between 2004 and 2006 he played for PFC Svetkavitsa and Spartak Plovdiv. Veli signed a 3 year deal with Lokomotiv Plovdiv after being released from Spartak Plovdiv in 2007. He was given the No.10 shirt. Cemal Gürsel
Cemal Gürsel (9 June 1894 – 14 September 1966) was a Turkish military officer and politician who was the fourth president of Turkey, serving from 1960 to 1966 after taking power in a coup d'état. Early life Gürsel was born in the town of Hınıs in the Erzurum Vilayet as the son of an Ottoman Army officer, Abidin Bey, and the grandson of Ibrahim (1821–1895) and the great-grandson of Hadji Ahmed (1788–1860). After the elementary school in Ordu and the military middle school in Erzincan, he graduated from the Kuleli military high school in Istanbul. He was a popular figure and was therefore nicknamed "Cemal Ağa" (Cemal the Big Fellow) since his childhood school years and onwards all his life. Gürsel served in the Army for 45 years. Nedim Gürsel (born 5 April 1951 in Gaziantep) is a Turkish writer. In the late 1960s, he published novellas and essays in Turkish magazines. After graduating from Galatasaray High School in 1970, he studied at the Sorbonne. In 1974, he graduated from the Sorbonne's Department of Modern French Literature.Nedim Gürsel .
