Güeros
''Güeros'' is a 2014 Mexican road comedy-drama film written and directed by Alonso Ruizpalacios. Set in Mexico City in 1999, the film tells the story of three restless teenagers searching for a folk-rocker during the Mexican capital's student strike. The film won five Ariel Awards, including Best Picture in 2015. Plot In 1999, Tomás, a teenager from Veracruz, is sent to live with his brother Sombra in Mexico City after an incident with water balloons. Héctor Luis Palma Salazar
Héctor Luis Palma Salazar (born April 29, 1960), commonly known as "El Güero Palma", is a Mexican former drug trafficker and leader of the Sinaloa Cartel alongside Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán. After his boss Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo ordered the brutal murder of his family, Palma set out to avenge them. Palma was arrested on June 23, 1995, and extradited to the United States, where he served a jail sentence until June 2016. He was then deported back to Mexico and charged with a double homicide for murdering two Nayarit police officers in 1995. Palma is currently incarcerated at the Altiplano Prison near Mexico City. ''Guero'' is the ninth studio album by American musician Beck, released on March 29, 2005, by Interscope Records. It was produced with John King and Mike Simpson of the Dust Brothers, who had worked with Beck on his 1996 album ''Odelay'', as well as Tony Hoffer. The album was promoted with the singles "E-Pro", "Girl", and "Hell Yes", and debuted at number two on the US ''Billboard'' 200. Juan Francisco Murillo Díaz, also known as "El Güero Jaibo" (Mexican Spanish slang: "Tampico Whitey"), was a member of the Tijuana Cartel (Arellano Félix Organization), believed to be one of the masterminds and shooters behind the assassination of Cardinal Juan Jesús Posadas Ocampo in Guadalajara, Jalisco, in May 1993. Delinquent Habits is an American hip hop group, formed in Norwalk, California in 1991. They are known for their Latin-tinged rap, which is both melodic and hardcore. Gero (book)
, in the orthography of the day) is a 17th-century ascetic book in Basque written by Pedro Agerre, better known as Axular. It is considered one of the masterpieces of classic Basque prose and literature altogether. Its accomplished, elaborate language in classic Lapurdian dialect turned it into a writing model for later writers from Labourd. It was published in Bordeaux in 1643 under the patronage of Bertrand D'Etchauz, the Basque archbishop of Tours (1617-1641). The book was written after the period of the harrowing "witch" persecution (Pierre de Lancre's intervention in Labourd). While the title's tagline reads "divided into two parts", only the existence of one book has been attested. Basque scholar Pierre Lafitte claimed that both parts had been merged into one. Gus Reyes (born June 27, 1977) is a Mexican musician and composer focused on film scoring. Reyes began his studies in music at the age of 8. His father, Jesus Gustavo Ramírez Avila (Student of Andrés Segovia 1893–1987) was his first teacher in music. During his early years Reyes was part of several Sacred Music Choirs, all directed by Phillipe H. Tolón, who was Lead Violín at the Opera Orchestra of Bellas Artes (Mexico) at that time.
